Aspirin Buster's 2008 "HAVE
BOW WILL TRAVEL TOUR"
Rolls
Along...........
Former WV Gov. Bob Wise caught Frank's show in Fredricksburg, VA on
Saturday, February 9, 2008. The former Governor was dubbed, "A Sportsman's
Friend" by Addington and became a bowhunter while in office. The two enjoyed
a chance to catch up & have lunch between shows.
Addington enjoyed good crowds at the Fredricksburg outdoor show and said,
"For me, to be so close to Washington, DC and see so many folks interested
in the outdoors was cool. I enjoyed bringing our brand of "razzle dazzle" to
town."
This was a great show and the second year for the event. The facility is
first class and the management did a super job with this show.
Greater Virginia Sports & Big Game Show
This was another Virginia show and Addington was able to drive to two shows
in a row, rare these days. "Most of our shows are coast to coast, I may be
in California one week and Florida the next. To be able to drive to two
shows in a row was a welcome relief," Addington commented.
Located in Harrisonburg, VA this show featured many exhibitors and offered
lots of activities. Addington had some difficulty with his main bow at this
show but after taking some measurements and calling his father via cellphone
some minor repairs and adjustments and Addington's show went on. He added,
"Dale Earnhardt was a hero to me.... and I loved it when he won races with
his hood duct taped. So when my bow went down, between shows, I simply
called my father (my pit crew), read him the measurements via cellphone and
then used some dental floss and Elmer's wood glue to make the repairs. I
shot pretty well the rest of the weekend. Pop knows his stuff and for 23
years he's been my main bow mechanic and coach. When I got the bow home he
fixed it so I would perform well the next show."
Oklahoma City's "Backwoods Hunting & Fishing Expo"
This event is 21 years old and the promoter does a great job with this show.
Addington was featured on stage in the center of the show. Addington said,
"Man do they have some really trophy bucks in Oklahoma. This is a best kept
secret, I had never heard a lot about Oklahoma and trophy bucks but they're
there! There were several good bucks on display..."
Daryl Varner was Addington's assistant at this event and did a good job
tossing baby aspirin up into mid air.
Bow & Arrow Razzle Dazzle in Sparta, WI
Thanks to the folks at Mathews!
March 15th Addington was in Sparta, WI at an EXPO sponsored by the folks at
Mathews Archery. Addington had a meeting at the factory Friday, looked over
the facilities and then performed three shows on Saturday.
Randy McPherson, Mathews founder Matt McPherson's brother, shared the stage
with Addington and did a good seminar. The event drew good audiences and
they seemed to enjoy all the activities at the event.
Addington finished the series of shows with a first shot on the three baby
aspirin. "That's leaving them with a smile..." Addington joked. Addington
will return to this event in 2009.

NEXT STOP
You can catch Addington at the Fred Hall Sports Show in San Diego, CA March
26-30, 2008.
Uncle Ted
Ted Nugent will star in a new movie coming later this year with country
music star Toby Keith. Theo will play "Skunk Tarver", a law enforcement
officer with a bow and plenty of attitude. Somehow I don't think this was
hard for Nuge to do!
When Theo emailed me from New Mexico where he was wrapping up filming, I
immediately asked about getting an interview for Bowhunting.net! So be sure
and check it out.
Until next time---shoot
